This is a Workshop run by Mark Brown – Founder of Special Help 4 Special Needs

Mark has worked with people with special needs for over 30 years and founded Special Help 4 Special Needs in 2010, working as an advisor with a range of children with special needs.

Mark will explore the issues faced by children/teenagers with special needs in relation to eating. Feeding and eating problems are common in individuals with special needs. Differences such as only eating very few foods, not being able to eat at school, going long periods of time without eating or over eating and Pica (eating non-foods) can be difficult to understand and manage with parents and carers reporting feelings of anxiety, frustration and blame.  This workshop will explore some of the strategies that can be used to deal with such situations to help all involved to move forward with these differences.
