Autism Awareness

We strive to improve quality of life for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, through continued efforts to raise awareness of autism, campaigning for appropriate support at local and national level and by promoting inclusion in universal services.

We keep individuals on the autism spectrum and their parents and carers informed of the most up-to-date information, through our quarterly newsletter, e-bulletins and access to an ever-expanding resource library.

HACS provide a voice for the autism community in Hillingdon to influence service development and delivery through our partnership working with the Local Authority, to address health disadvantages for individuals on the autism spectrum.

We facilitate public meetings to campaign for changes to government policy that will affect individuals on the autism spectrum and the help and support they receive.  HACS also express the views of our families at Central Government; we are members of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Autism (APPGA).  The role of APPGA is to bring together MPs, Peers and members of the public who have a shared common concern in advancing the interests of individuals with the condition and their families.
