Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility.  Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children.  This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.

HACS is committed to promoting the best outcomes for the children, young people and vulnerable adults that access our services.  All children, young people and vulnerable adults regardless of age, disability, gender, culture, religion or sexuality will have the right to equal protection from all forms of harm or abuse.  In all areas of our work, we will therefore strive to ensure that every individual is healthy; stays safe; is able to enjoy and achieve; make a positive contribution and achieve economic well-being.
