Inspiring Young Minds Through STEM
This summer, Hillingdon Autistic Care & Support (HACS) is excited to launch the Summer STEM Skills and Innovation Project – an engaging and inclusive programme designed to help young people explore the exciting worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Through a range of hands-on activities, creative challenges and real-world experiences, participants will develop valuable skills while having fun, making friends and discovering new interests. Whether they are curious about technology, enjoy solving problems, or simply want to try something new, this project offers something for everyone.
What Participants Will Experience
Our Summer STEM programme combines practical learning with exciting opportunities to inspire curiosity and build confidence. Participants will:
Take part in interactive STEM workshops and activities.
Develop digital, creative and problem-solving skills.
Work collaboratively on innovative projects.
Learn about STEM careers and future opportunities.
Build confidence, communication and teamwork skills.
Meet new people in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Trips and Insight Days
A key feature of the programme is a series of educational trips and industry insight days. These experiences will give participants the opportunity to see STEM in action, visit inspiring locations and meet professionals working in a variety of STEM-related fields.
By connecting learning with real-world applications, participants will gain a better understanding of how STEM shapes the world around us and the exciting pathways available to them in the future.
An Inclusive Environment
As a charity dedicated to supporting neurodiverse individuals and their families, HACS understands that everyone learns differently. Activities are designed to be accessible, engaging and supportive, allowing participants to learn at their own pace while celebrating their strengths and interests.
