Information about how we use your data.

This privacy notice applies to anyone who interacts with us regarding our products, services and schools by any method, (such as website, phone, email).

Why we collect your data

We will only collect, use and otherwise handle your personal data where you have consented to this for specified reasons; where this is necessary to fulfil legal obligations or where it is necessary for our legitimate interests in running our organisation; as long as, in each case, these interests are in line with applicable law and your legal rights and freedoms. This includes:

  • Complying with statutory or regulatory requirements such as Ofsted, HMRC, Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Act 2016 and follow the recommendations of the official regulator of charities, the Charity Commission

  • To process your donations or other payments, to claim Gift Aid on your donations and verify any financial transactions.

  • To provide services that you have requested.

  • To update you with important administrative messages about your membership, events, services or payments you have

  • To keep a record of your relationship with us

  • To deliver contracts on behalf of third parties for services you have requested

 

How we collect your data

When you contact us or access our services: This could be if you ask us about our activities, register with us for training or an event, make a donation to us, access a service, apply for a job or volunteering opportunity or otherwise provide us with your personal information. This includes when you phone us, visit our website, purchase a service, or get in touch through the post, or in person.

When you interact with us through third parties: This could be if you provide a donation through a third party such as Just Giving or one of the other third parties that we work with and provide your consent for your personal information to be shared with us. We may be delivering on behalf of a third party, services that you have requested, such as social care packages.

 

When we’ll share your data

Unless we are required to share your data for legal or regulatory reasons, to fulfil a third party contract, to help with a complaint, or to administer a Gift in Will, we will never share your data with other organisations.

We use third-party organisations to help us collect donations and to help us fulfil our marketing. Where we use external companies to collect or process data on our behalf, we carry out comprehensive checks on these companies and put in place contracts to control how they manage the data they may collect or have access to.

You have many rights regarding your personal data. These include seeing what data we hold and updating your information. More details about your rights are available in our Data Protection Policy which is available on our website.
