Message from The National Portrait Gallery:
We would like to share an opportunity for 50 young people aged 16-21, to take part in a 10-month creative programme at the National Portrait Gallery, called NPG LAB. The programme is running for its second year, following a brilliant collective in 2025.
NPG LAB is bursary funded, where each young person receives up to £600 as a contribution towards their time, travel, food and ideas.
I'd be most grateful if you could share this opportunity with young people that you're working with. Please see key details below.
This project is for everyone, no matter what you’re into, whether it's creativity, events, or just trying something new to see what fits. You don’t need to know much about art, history, or galleries to apply. We’re looking for people with big ideas, who love collaborating, and have a wide range of interests. We want to learn from you!
We’d especially love to hear from you if you’ve never worked with a gallery or museum before, or if you haven’t had the chance to get involved in something creative like this.
