Starting university is an exciting milestone, but it can also bring lots of questions and uncertainty. Whether you're preparing to begin your studies or you've already secured your place, knowing what support is available can help make the transition smoother and less stressful.

Our friends at CNWL Discovery College are hosting a free online workshop called Going to University on Friday 21 August 2026 from 11:30am to 1:30pm. The workshop is designed for young adults aged 16-25 and offers practical advice and guidance on managing wellbeing whilst studying at university.

During the session, participants will explore:

  • Mental health and wellbeing support available through universities

  • Tips for managing academic deadlines and study pressures

  • Establishing healthy daily routines

  • Building friendships and social connections

  • Accessing useful university resources and support services

The workshop provides a welcoming and supportive environment where young people can ask questions, learn from others, and gain confidence about the next stage of their journey. Parents, carers and professionals are also welcome to attend.

This free workshop is available to young adults aged 16-25 who live, work or study in Hillingdon, Harrow, Brent, Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea. The session will take place online via Zoom.

If you are thinking about university and would like some extra support and guidance, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn more and connect with others preparing for a similar experience.

For further information and booking details, please see the workshop flyer provided by CNWL Discovery College.
