Are you looking to improve your cooking skills, eat more healthily, manage your weight, or prepare nutritious meals on a budget? Learn Hillingdon is offering a range of practical cooking courses designed to help local residents gain confidence in the kitchen while supporting their health and wellbeing.

Healthy Cooking Courses

The Healthy Cooking programme provides hands-on learning for adults who want to improve their nutrition, learn affordable recipes, and develop healthier eating habits. The courses are particularly suitable for people who are unemployed, on a low income, managing their weight, or living with a health condition that could benefit from improved nutrition.

Two courses will be available this year:

  • Healthy Autumn Cooking: 25 September to 23 October 2026

  • Healthy Winter Cooking: 6 November to 4 December 2026

Sessions take place on Fridays from 12:30pm to 3:00pm at the Learn Hillingdon Civic Centre in Uxbridge.

Nutritious and Healthy Dinner Workshops

For those looking for flexible evening learning opportunities, Learn Hillingdon is also offering a series of Nutritious and Healthy Dinner Workshops. These practical sessions focus on preparing healthy, delicious, and affordable meals that can easily be recreated at home. The workshops are open to adults aged 19 and over who wish to manage their weight, live well with Type 2 diabetes, improve their nutrition, and who are currently unemployed or on a low income.

The workshops feature a variety of seasonal dishes, including:
