Summer Sparks: Fun, Friendship and Confidence This Summer

Hillingdon Autistic Care & Support (HACS) is excited to deliver Summer Sparks, a four-week holiday programme designed specifically for autistic young people aged 8–17. Through our popular Good4Girls and Better4Boys programmes, Summer Sparks provides a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where young people can have fun, make friends, and build confidence over the summer holidays.

Funded through the Hillingdon Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, Summer Sparks combines enjoyable activities with opportunities for personal development, helping young people strengthen their social communication skills, independence, and self-confidence.

Each week features a varied programme of activities, including:

• ⚽ Football training and active games

• 🎳 Bowling trips

• 💃 Dance sessions

• 🎨 Arts and crafts

• 🧁 Sensory baking and cooking

• 🛍️ Shopping trips

• 🌳 Picnics and community outings

• 🎉 A celebratory end-of-programme party with music, food and games

These activities have been carefully chosen to encourage participation, social interaction, skill development, and, most importantly, enjoyment.

To ensure every young person receives the support they need, the programme operates with a staff ratio of one adult to every eight children and young people. This allows our experienced team to provide personalised support within a nurturing and understanding environment.

The programme takes place at the HACS centre in Hayes and includes lunch, snacks, drinks and all activity costs. Free places are available for HAF-eligible children and young people.
